NY Aquarium, March 2009

On March 14th, I (Marc AuMarc) went with Andres to the NY Aquarium in Coney Island. It was a great chance to test out my new camera, a Nikon D90 DSLR and learn how to shoot with it. Equipped with just a kit lens, it was challenging to take portraits of some of the fish and other creatures, particularly in tanks that were kept relatively dark. We were able to capture some great moments, though, as seen below.

Some highlights? Loggerhead turtles, which I have never seen in the wild, a large sturgeon, a bunch of really cool seahorses and a brilliant yellow Longhorn Cowfish.
