Great Egret (Ardea alba)
The great egret is much less common on Saint Martin than the cattle egret, and easily identified because it is much larger. According to literature it is uncommon on the island, but I believe it can be readily seen in salt pond and mangrove areas. In addition to its height, it can be identified by its yellow bill and black legs.
