Chez Rene Boucherie
The Chez Rene Boucherie is the best restaurant in the world. Originally – and still – a butcher, Rene also prepares delicious lunches in a friendly, convivial atmosphere. The menu varies daily, and often includes interesting meats, such as ostrich and kangaroo. Our personal favorites are the steak tartare and the entrecote.
Rene also maintains a terrific selection of affordable French wines and is happy to find one that will complement your meal. As I may have mentioned, this is literally the best restaurant in the world, and they serve the best potatoes in the world as well. Crunchy and tender, Rene said he has them shipped in from Holland in large sacks, still sitting in the earth in which they grew. We also suspect duck fat contributes to their excellent taste.
