Disjunct Scrub-Hairstreak (Strymon bubastus ponce)

This hairstreak is similar to the two others I have seen on the island, but can be identified by the lack of tails and the two dark spots on the upper side of the lower wing. The specimens photographed are from a field in La Savane, although I would guess the species is found in other areas as well. The hairstreaks have a habit of rubbing their hind wings together when alight, but I am have no idea why they like to do this.
