Seattle Aquarium, March 2009

During our recent visit to Seattle, we were fortunate enough to have time to visit the Seattle Aquarium. Perhaps the most impressive and exciting aspect for us was the abundance of exhibits featuring sea life from the area, including the massive tank in their lobby, Window on Washington Waters, the Underwater Dome and their large tide pool exhibit, Life on the Edge. In addition to these, they had educational exhibits about the life cycle of Pacific salmon and the various parts of the local watershed system.

In addition to learning and exploring, we were able to practice our underwater photography, especially shooting from behind glass under low light conditions which closely resembles the shooting environment on a submarine.
