Carib Grackle (Quiscalus lugubris)

I was first alerted to the presence of the carib grackle by its odd mating call. The darker male was performing its song and dance routine for the brown female which was perched above it. Both were at the edge of an artificial pond near the abandoned Happy Bay development. It is a common resident on many of the Lesser Antilles.
