Peacock Flounder
The Peacock Flounder (Bothus lunatus) hides on sandy bottoms and can change color dramatically to match the surface it is sitting on. They are often extremely hard to find, blending in with their surroundings. A closer look, however, reveals beautiful patterns and two unusual eyes coming out of the same side of the flounder’s head.
